CALL FROM SPACE (THE “ISS” SONG STORY)

One of the songs in the second album has an unusual name, “ISS” (International Space Station).

The “ISS” song was specifically written for international crew members of the expedition-15 (Fyodor Urchikhin, Oleg Kotov and Clayton Anderson). The song was sent onboard the Space Station in September 2007 for the special date – American astronaut Clay Anderson’s 100th day in space. At the end of this song the real voice of the NASA astronaut C. Anderson is heard. For several years Millana was his instructor of Russian Language at Johnson Space Center in Houston, USA.

Clay Anderson called her from the Space Station and at the end of conversation said a few words especially for the “ISS” song:

“Hello from the crew of expedition-15. I wish love to all of you!”

Thus, for the first time in the space history a song specifically written for the crew of ISS was sent into space, and for the first time a real voice from the orbit is in a song.
